ARTIST STATEMENT

I have been producing prints since receiving my MFA in printmaking at Wichita State University. In 2000, I started a printmaking program at the Wichita Center for the Arts (now Mark Arts Art Center) in Wichita, Kansas and have been teaching printmaking classes since then. In 2010, I founded the Tallgrass Prairie Press Printmakers group which is affiliated with Mark Arts Art Center and exhibits the works of its members locally and regionally.

I have always tended to work within a series, based on my current interests, ideas and situation. Currently, my focus has been historical in nature. Dealing with the geological & environmental changes that have taken place during the Earth's long history, and its impact on humanity, with a nod to the changes now taking place due to climate change.
