Shifting Impressions presents a juried selection of works by members of the American Color Print Society, reflecting the depth, innovation, and range within contemporary printmaking. Chosen for distinction in concept, craftsmanship, and creative engagement with process, the works in this exhibition demonstrate the vitality of print as both discipline and exploration. From meticulously layered traditional techniques to inventive hybrid practices, these prints reveal the expressive possibilities of color as structure, atmosphere, and voice. While diverse in subject and approach, the selected works share a commitment to material inquiry and thoughtful image-making. As a juried exhibition, Shifting Impressions highlights excellence within the Society while honoring the collective energy that continues to expand the language of print.

ACPS members are invited to submit two prints/artist books to be considered for an exhibition to be juried by gallerist Gaby Heit at her gallery in the Crane Arts Building. This will be an opportunity to share our work with a new audience that may be unfamiliar with printmaking and our organization. The exhibition will run March 12th through May 2nd, 2026, with two public receptions, March 12th and April 9th, 2026.

Celebrating where art and design meet, Box Spring Gallery provides carefully curated exhibitions with opportunities to purchase contemporary art and design by a variety of creatives. Box Spring Gallery is located in a hub of visual art in Philadelphia. The Crane Arts Building is home to vibrant, well-attended Second Thursday events, where Box Spring Gallery stands out as a premier destination.

Box Spring Gallery aims to be an outlet for new audience visibility, educational exchange and cross-disciplinary discourse. Their main goals are to provide creatives with opportunities, guidance, and to educate the consumer public. Box Spring Gallery strives to show a wide range of creative discipline, innovation and purpose, and look to collaborate with like-minded partners.

• Artist must be a paid-up member of the American Color Print Society

• Artist may submit two prints/artist books, 30” maximum any dimension not previously shown at ACPS or Box Spring Gallery

• Submissions must be gallery ready to hang. Wires not required. Hanging unframed with magnets is allowed. Please indicate if planning to submit unframed work or artist books as size and weight of work must be approved. Members should describe their installation requirements on the form.

• Gaby Heit of Box Spring Gallery will jury the show and make final choices about accepted work.

• All accepted work must remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.

• Box Spring Gallery reserves the right to exclude any artwork that does not meet exhibition standards.

• Box Spring Gallery and ACPS reserve the right to reproduce the work for purposes of promoting this exhibit and/or Box Spring Gallery and ACPS.

• A digital image submission of your work (hi-res, 300 dpi, in .jpg format, at least 5 inches on the longest side) is required. These will be due no later than Thursday, February 19, 2026.

• No late entries will be accepted.

• $20 entry fee, payable online via submission form OR by check to American Color Print Society, c/o Meisinger, 219 East Road, Doylestown, PA 18901
